Joe Mullet: Being a Visionary

As a youngster, Joe Mullet had boundless energy. He was gripped by vision and tenacity but constantly frustrated with trying to fit the mold of what was expected of him by peers and his community. As with many entrepreneurs, Joe took risk and along with it came a fair share of ups and downs. No matter what he experienced, he always kept pushing through. Joe is not afraid to admit that he was a failure before he was a success and offers his perspective that “failure is when I miss opportunities to grow.”

Joe is a visionary but didn’t realize it until many years later. A visionary tends to see the big picture and has one plan: Get there as soon as possible. It may even mean standing alone. As nuCamp began to grow, he made a concentrated effort to surround himself with team members that share his vision. Today, as president of nuCamp RV, he communicates his vision with his fellow leaders and throughout the company. Together, they have built the company around this unique perspective. A culture of growth and learning are integrated into the fabric of nüCamp.

A leadership style that embraces vision is the key to success, and we firmly believe that our team is stronger today because of the challenges we have faced. As the largest manufacturer of teardrop campers in North America, Joe knows that there are always opportunities to improve. For now, he is thrilled to be a part of a growing family of camping enthusiasts and rewarded to see the results of his vision.
